Utility and gas bill assistance from Gas South

Gas South of Georgia partners with other organizations to offer help to the low income and needy. Find information on those partners and offerings below. They also fully support the LIHEAP program and recommend that to qualified individuals, as LIHEAP is effective at paying bills and ensuring utility service is not disconnected.

In addition to those agencies, cash grants and direct financial assistance may be provided from the The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP). This is funded by the feds, but administered by the Georgia Department of Human Services. The program helps low income individuals and families pay their monthly gas bills. To qualify for assistance from this energy bill program, all eligibility requirements need to be met, including meeting income guidelines and thresholds.
