Rocky Mountain Power

• HEAT Assistance program – If your income is within the HEAT Assistance program guidelines, you may qualify for a utility bill credit on your Rocky Mountain Power bill. Be sure to mention this to the HEAT Assistance Office when you apply for financial assistance. The office will also help you in enrolling for the bill credit program
• Lend A Hand – This program provides energy assistance to those households in need. Due to funding limitations, households with disabled and senior members are given priority. This assistance program is administered by the American Red Cross. Read more.
• Utah Weatherization Program – The Utah Department of Community & Culture now offers weatherization services at no cost to low income Utah residents
• Utah Power also offers special services, time payment plans, and utility bill assistance for customers experiencing financial hardships.

Intermountain Gas Company

• Project Share - Whether because of loss of employment, illness, or another other crisis, some Idaho families may have difficulty with paying their heating bills. The Project Share assistance program is designed to help our residents with temporary heating emergencies. Note, this is not a long-term assistance program. Learn more.
• Project Donation - Intermountain offers another program as well. This one can also help with both gas and utility bills. Using funds from the community, some low income customers that are facing a crisis can get assistance. More details.

Avista Utilities of Idaho

• Donations are used from the community as part of Project Share. The funds are given to income qualified families facing a hardship for assisting with their utility and heating bills. Click more.

 

 

 

 

Clearwater Power runs the Helping Hand Program for paying utility bills. Contributions are accepted from their customers in Alabama, and this money is then given to struggling families. The funds can help pay heating and other utility bills. More information.

• Weatherization - Offered for free to income qualified customers. This program can help people save money on their energy and heating bills by offering free conservation measures to homeowners.
• Bill payment plans - Resources such as LIHEAP and Project Share can help Idaho Power customers pay their bills. Most of the utility assistance is targeted at those who spend a large percentage of their income on utility bills.

They help coordinate energy and heating bill assistance programs across the state. They are involved in Project Share, Project Warmth, and other solutions for low income households in Idaho. Read more.
